Dr. Sandford uses state-of-the-art sterilization techniques and invites her patients to see and request information about this process.
The sterilization room is divided into visual sterile and non-sterile zones, thereby eliminating any possibility of cross contamination of the sterilized instruments. All dental instruments including Dr. Sandford's handpieces are sterilized after every use and all water and vacuum lines are drained and sanitized at the end of each day. Her sterilization protocol sets a benchmark for others to follow and is far more stringent than just being OSHA compliant.
Our dental instrument sterilizer is monitored during each use and is tested at the beginning of each week by an outside laboratory. This verifies all sterilization equipment is correctly calibrated to the proper temperature and pressure to maximize the sterilization process.
